GOING TO A THEATRE
去剧场
Mother: Are you excited to see the theatre show?
妈妈：要去看舞台剧了，你兴奋吗？
(1) 舞台剧叫theatre performance、theatre show或者theatre event。(2) 英式英语中剧场一词拼写为theatre，美式英语中既可以用theatre，也可以用theater。
Child: Yes! I'm all dressed up.
宝宝：是的！我已经打扮好了。
Mother: You look great!
妈妈：你看上去很不错！
? In the theatre 在剧场里
Child: Mom, I want to hold our tickets.
宝宝：妈妈，我想拿着票。
Mother: No problem.
妈妈：没问题。
Now, show them to the ushers 现在把它们给引座员看看，
so they can guide us to find our seats.
这样他们可以指引咱们找到座位。
Before we go and sit down in our seats,
咱们到座位上坐下之前，
let's use the restroom
先去趟卫生间，
so we don't have to get up during the show.
这样咱们演出期间就不用起来了。
Child: But I don't want to go.
宝宝：但是我不想上。
Go指上厕所。
Mother: I know, but we don't want to miss any part of the show,
妈妈：我知道，但是我们不想错过演出的任何部分，
so let's try, okay?
所以咱们去试试，好吗？
Child: Okay.
宝宝：好的。
? After going to the bathroom 去完厕所
Mother: Do you remember the door that the usher showed us?
妈妈：你还记得引座员指给我们的那个门吗？
Child: Door 8.
宝宝：8号门。
Mother: Yes, we are in the balcony,
妈妈：是的，我们在看台，
so we need to go upstairs.
所以我们要上楼。
Although the balcony is the farthest section from the stage,
虽然看台是离舞台最远的区域，
it has a very good view of the whole stage.
它可以很好地看到整个舞台。
? In the balcony 在看台
Child: We are in Row H now.
宝宝：现在咱们在到排了。
Mother: Yes, can you find Seats 4 and 5?
妈妈：是的，你能找到4号和5号座位吗？
Child: Here they are, Mommy.
宝宝：在这儿，妈妈。
I found little numbers on the seats!
我发现了座位上的小数字！
Mother: Well done!
妈妈：真棒！
Are you okay in these seats?
你觉得座位行吗?
If you would like to sit higher,
如果你想要坐高点，
we can ask the usher for a booster seat.
咱们可以找引座员要一个加高座位。
Child: No, thank you, Mommy, I'm fine.
宝宝：不了，谢谢妈妈，我觉得还行。
Mother: Now we just wait for everyone else to be seated.
妈妈：现在咱们就等其他人就座了。
Then the lights will go down
然后灯光会熄灭，
and the curtain will open.
幕布会打开。
I will put my phone on silent.
我把手机调成静音。
? Show starts 演出开始
Child: I love their singing and costumes!
妈妈：我喜欢他们的演唱和服装！
Mother: Me too,
妈妈：我也是。
but remember to stay quiet during the show.
不过记得在整个演出过程中要保持安静。
Child: Okay.
宝宝：好的。
? Intermission 中场休息
Child: Mommy, they closed the curtains.
宝宝：妈妈，他们关上幕布了。
Is it over?
是结束了吗？
Mother: No, it is intermission.
妈妈：不是，是中场休息。
That means it is the halfway point
意思就是演到一半了，
and there is a break
有一个休息时间，
so we can use the restroom or get a drink.
这样咱们可以去卫生间或者喝点东西。
? A bell rings 铃声响起
Child: What is that sound?
宝宝：那是什么声音？
Mother: That signals the end of the intermission.
妈妈：这是中场休息结束的信号。
We need to get back to our seats to watch the rest of the show.
咱们需要回到座位看剩下的演出。
Child: Yay!
宝宝：耶！
? End of the show 演出结束
Mother: That was the end of the show.
妈妈：演出到尾声了。
Now they will open the curtains back up
现在他们会把幕布再打开，
and everyone will come out to take a bow.
每个人都会出来鞠躬。
And we get to clap to show them how much we liked it.
然后咱们可以鼓掌来表达对演出的喜爱。
Child: I am going to clap very loudly
宝宝：我要使劲鼓掌，
because I thought the show was fantastic!
因为我觉得演出太棒了！
Mother: I am so happy you liked it.
妈妈：我真高兴你喜欢它。
